The Registered Nurse Congress 2018 is a platform for nursing students, faculty, deans, researchers, and leaders to collaborate on topics affecting nursing education. Attendees can take advantage of opportunities to learn about nursing practice from a variety of oral and poster presentations.  Meet and network with nurses ranging from students to deans, faculty, and researchers. Take advantage of opportunities to collaborate with nurses from around the world. Attend prominent plenary sessions about relevant issues affecting nursing conferences.

Registered nurses are employed in a wide variety of professional settings, and often specialize in a field of practice. They may be responsible for supervising care delivered by other healthcare workers, including student nurses, licensed practical nurses, unlicensed assistive personnel, and less-experienced RNs.  Nursing Practice involves of the theoretical and practical training provided to nurses with the purpose to prepare them for their duties as nursing care professionals. This conference is provided to give safety measurement carriers to patients and also RNs are responsible for complex head-to-toe assessments, developing a plan of care, carrying out physician orders, starting and maintaining invasive lines and devices, and safe medication administration to patients nursing students by experienced nurses and other medical professionals who have qualified or experienced for educational tasks. Most countries offer nursing courses that can be relevant to general nursing or to specialized areas including mental health nursingcardiac nursing and post-operatory nursing.

Shifts in the US nursing labor market affect the nursing workforce in many other countries. Like many developed nations, during nursing shortages the USA turns to international recruitment. As the last 7-year nursing shortage began to wane, fully 12.2% of newly licensed nurses in 2007 were foreign educated, according to the National Council of State Boards of Nurses. During those years a major constraint on international recruitment was the country visa caps, which led to a backlog of nurses awaiting visas in countries like the Philippines and India. However, US immigration reform in 2013 may remove these caps enabling tens of thousands of foreign-educated nurses (FENs), who are already pre-approved for visas and waiting in the queue, to emigrate to migrate to the USA.

Sessions/Tracks

Track 1: Nurses and their role

Nurses often work in hospitals or outpatient facilities, where they provide hands-on care to patients by administering medications, managing intravenous lines, observing and monitoring patients' conditions, maintaining records and communicating with doctors. However, there are various other responsibilities of a nurse that form a part of the role of a nurse, including to:

·         Record medical history and symptoms

·         Collaborate with team to plan for patient care

·         Advocate for health and wellbeing of patient

·         Monitor patient health and record signs

·         Administer medications and treatments

·         Operate medical equipment

·         Perform diagnostic tests

·         Educate patients about management of illnesses

·         Provide support and advice to patients

Track 3: Nursing Career

With health care knowledge growing steadily, nurses can stay ahead of the curve through continuing education. Continuing education classes and programs enable nurses to provide the best possible care to patients, advance nursing careers, and keep up with Board of Nursing requirements. The American Nurses Association and the American Nursing Credentialing Center are devoted to ensuring nurses have access to quality continuing education offerings. Continuing education classes are calibrated to provide enhanced learning for all levels of nurses. Many States also regulate Continuing Nursing Education. Nursing licensing boards requiring Continuing Nursing Education (CNE) as a condition for licensure, either initial or renewal, accept courses provided by organizations that are accredited by other state licensing boards, by the American Nursing Credentialing Center (ANCC), or by organizations that have been designated as an approver of continuing nursing education by ANCC. There are some exceptions to this rule including the state of California, Florida and Kentucky. National Healthcare Institute has created a list to assist nurses in determining their CNE credit hours requirements. While this list is not all inclusive, it offers details on how to contact nursing licensing boards directly

Track 4: Registered Nurse

A registered nurse provides scientific, psychological, and technological knowledge in the care of patients and families in many health care settings. Registered nurses may earn additional credentials or degrees. Registered Nurse is defined as a nurse who graduated from a nursing program and has met the requirements that had been outlined by a country, state, province or similar licensing body in order to obtain license in nursing. Registered nurses are usually employed in a wide range of professional settings, and often specialize in a field of practice. Track 5: Nurse Practitioner

Nurse Practitioner may be responsible for supervising care delivered by other healthcare workers, including student nurses, LPN. Registered nurses must usually meet a minimum practice hour’s requirement and undertake continuing education in order to maintain their license. Furthermore, there is often a requirement that an RN remain free from serious criminal convictions.  Nurse practitioners are permitted by most jurisdictions to practice independently in a variety of settings. In the postwar period, nurse education has undergone a process of diversification towards advanced and specialized credentials, and many of the traditional regulations and provider roles are changing.

They should have the previously mentioned qualifications and affirmations to work on nursing legitimately. Nursing accreditations are excluded with the people name and isolated with commas. Nursing conferencesNursing MeetingsNursing care 2018

Track 6: Nursing Demand in America

Nursing shortage refers to a situation where the demand for nursing professionals, such as Registered Nurses (RNs), exceeds the supply—locally (e.g., within a health care facility), nationally or globally. It can be measured, for instance, when the nurse-to-patient ratio, the nurse-to-population ratio, or the number of job openings necessitates a higher number of nurses than currently available. This situation is observed in developed and developing nations around the world. Nursing shortage is not necessarily due to a lack of supply of trained nurses. In some cases, perceived shortages occur simultaneously with increased admission rates of students into nursing schools. Potential factors include lack of adequate staffing ratios in hospitals and other health care facilities, lack of placement programs for newly trained nurses, and inadequate worker retention incentives.

The demand for nurses has been on the rise for several years, spurred by various economic and demographic factors. Demand for nurses is projected to increase for the foreseeable future (an increase of 23% between 2006 and 2016, according to the US Department of Labor). Candidates for nursing jobs that are in highest demand include registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, certified nurse assistants, and certified medical assistants.

Track 7: Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN)

An advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) is a nurse with post-graduate education in nursing. APRNs are prepared with advanced didactic and clinical education, knowledge, skills, and scope of practice in nursing. APRN defines a level of nursing practice that utilizes extended and expanded skills, experience and knowledge in assessment, planning, implementation, diagnosis and evaluation of the care required. Nurses practicing at this level are educationally prepared at the post-graduate level and may work in either a specialist or generalist capacity. However, the basis of advanced practice is the high degree of knowledge, skill and experience that is applied within the nurse-patient/client relationship to achieve optimal outcomes through critical analysis, problem solving and evidence-based decision making.

Track 9: Licensed Practical Nurse

A licensed practical nurse (LPN) in much of the United States, and most Canadian provinces is a nurse who cares for people who are sick, injured, convalescent, or disabled. LPNs work under the direction of physicians. In the United States however, California and Texas refer to them as a licensed vocational nurse (LVN). Equivalent professions outside the United States are "registered practical nurse" (RPNs) in the Canadian province of Ontario, "enrolled nurses" (ENs) or "Division 2 nurses" in Australia, Hong Kong and New Zealand, and formerly "state enrolled nurses" (SENs) in the United Kingdom.

Track 10: Nurse Educator

A nurse educator is a nurse who teaches and prepares licensed practical nurses (LPN) and registered nurses (RN) for entry into practice positions. They can also teach in various patient care settings to provide continuing education to licensed nursing staff. Nurse Educators teach in graduate programs at Master’s and doctoral level which prepare advanced practice nurses, nurse educators, nurse administrators, nurse researchers, and leaders in complex healthcare and educational organizations.

Track 11: Nursing Theory and Process

Nursing theory is defined as a creative and rigorous structuring of ideas that project a tentative, purposeful, and systematic view of phenomena’. Through systematic inquiry, whether in nursing research or practice, nurses are able to develop knowledge relevant to improving the care of patients. Nursing theories give a plan for reflection in which to examine a certain direction in where the plan needs to head. As new situations are encountered, this framework provides an arrangement for management, investigation and decision-making. Nursing theories also administer a structure for communicating with other nurses and with other representatives and members of the health care team. Nursing theories assist the development of nursing in formulating beliefs, values and goals. They help to define the different particular contribution of nursing with the care of clients. Nursing theory guides research and practice.

Track 12: Nursing Training & Certification

Nursing is an extremely rewarding and diverse branch of healthcare which focuses on providing medical care to patients, assisting doctors and performing a variety of managerial and administrative duties in hospitals and clinics. While nurses are mainly charged with looking after patients and ensuring their comfort, they also carry out various diagnostic tests, perform physiotherapy and take care of administrative tasks such as record keeping and medical billing. Due to their interaction with the public, they are also responsible for educating people on basic healthcare and hygiene principles.

Track 13: Nursing Practice

Nurses develop a plan of care, working collaboratively with physicians, therapists, the patient, the patient's family and other team members, that focus on treating illness to improve quality of life. In the U.S. (and increasingly the United Kingdom), advanced practice nurses, such as clinical nurse specialists and nurse practitioners, diagnose health problems and prescribe medications and other therapies, depending on individual state regulations. Nurses may be differentiated from other health care providers by their approach to patient care, training, and scope of practice. Nurses practice in many specialisms with differing levels of prescriber authority. Many nurses provide care within the ordering scope of physicians, and this traditional role has shaped the public image of nurses as care providers. However, nurses are permitted by most jurisdictions to practice independently in a variety of settings depending on training level. In the postwar period, nurse education has undergone a process of diversification towards advanced and specialized credentials, and many of the traditional regulations and provider roles are changing.

Track 14: Public Health Nursing

Public health nurses work within communities and focus on different areas to improve the overall health of the people within that community. Some areas of employment for public health nurses are school districts, county or state health departments, and departments of correction. The public health nurse looks for areas of concern within the community and assesses and plans ways through which the concerns can be resolved or minimized. Track 16: Latest Advances in Nursing

Advancement of nursing research and a desire for association and organization led to the formation of a wide variety of professional organizations and academic journals. Growing recognition of nursing as a distinct academic discipline was accompanied by an awareness of the need to define the theoretical basis for practice. Nurses may follow their personal and professional interests by working with any group of people, in any setting, at any time. Some nurses follow the traditional role of working in a hospital setting. Other options include: Pediatrics, Neonatal, Maternity, OBGYN, Geriatrics, Ambulatory, or Nurse Anaesthetists. There are many other options nurses can explore depending on the type of degree and education acquired. RNs may also pursue different roles as advanced practice registered nurses.

By experience this quick change of innovation has come expanding reliance upon the wellbeing science society to join diverse advances into numerous callings. It is conceivable that this confidence on innovation in nursing bearer is expanding quickly. The reason for this thought is for the improvement of innovation based nursing training and to determine targets requiring further exchange among medical caretaker resources. It is turning out to be certain that medical attendant instructors need to break down qualities, correspondence, and social procedures when coordinating, judging, contributing and analyzing mechanical use inside their work put. Innovations in nursing have become an increasingly important concept in nursing literature. Nursing education promotes an awareness of the diversity that exists within nursing education and the common purposes that bind it together, encourages shared understandings of the various pathways that exist within nursing education and promotes community among nursing students, nurse educators and nurses regarding the complexities surrounding educational preparation for nurse practice.

Track 19: Certified Nurse Midwife

The Nurse-Midwifery/Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner (NM/WHNP) program is designed to prepare registered nurses to manage a woman’s normal obstetrical and gynecological needs during the childbearing years, manage the care of the normal newborn, and provide primary care to women throughout the lifespan. Midwifery practice has undergone remarkable changes over the last 75 years. In the early part of the 20th century, the only place midwives could attend births was at home. Later, the hospital became virtually the only place in which midwives could attend births, and there was a great debate among the midwifery community in the 1970s about the safety of homebirth.

Midwives are well-suited to care for healthy women who expect to have a normal birth. They provide prenatal care, care during labor and birth, and care after the birth. Midwives attend births in many hospitals throughout the United States, and they attend most of the births that take place in out-of-hospital birth centers and homes. Nursing conferencesNursing MeetingsNursing care 2018Surgical Nursing 2018Nursing Edu 2018Registered Nurse 2018Nursing careOncology Nursing 2018

Track 20: Family Nurse Practitioner

Family Nurse Practitioners work with patients throughout their lives, diagnosing illness, conducting exams, and prescribing medication. These nurses can also serve as their patients’ sole health care provider and run their own private practices.

Works Nurse Practitioner needs to do-

  • Diagnose illnesses
  • Prescribe medication and therapy
  • Conduct routine check-ups
  • Order patient lab tests
  • Assist in minor surgical procedures

Date & Venue: December 05-06, 2018 | Chicago, Illinois, USA

Theme: Exploring Latest Advances in Nursing and Healthcare

RN & NP Meeting 2018 welcomes attendees, presenters and exhibitors from all over the world to Chicago. We are extremely happy to invite you all to attend and register for the “21st Global Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioners Conference” which is going to be held during December 05-06, 2018 at Chicago, Illinois, USA.

For more details please visit- https://registerednurse.conferenceseries.com/

Scope & Importance:

Nursing is a healthcare profession focused on the care of individuals, families, and communities so they may attain, maintain or recover optimal health and quality of life from birth to death. Nursing is among the fastest-growing fields, and it has a robust job market, which makes it very attractive to people in search of a new or first career. In Chicago, there is an abundance of exceptional nursing programs available, both online and traditional. Registered nurses that have specifically trained as family nurse practitioners can serve as both primary, and specialty health care providers. Like a family doctor, a family nurse practitioner typically works with patients throughout their entire life, conducting examinations whenever necessary, diagnosing illnesses and conditions, and even prescribing medication in some circumstances.

Why Chicago??

The City of Chicago covers an area of 60,000 hectares and sits 176 meters (578 feet) above sea level on the southwestern shore of Lake Michigan. At 190 km wide and 495 km long, it’s the 5th largest body of fresh water in the world. The city is traversed by the Chicago and Calumet rivers. Chicago's extensive parklands, including 3,000 hectares of city parks attract an estimated 86 million visitors annually. Chicago provides an ideal platform for the nursing professionals .There are  many nursing schools and nursing centers in this state which to brings out  28-32% new nurses every year. With more than 20 million full-time inhabitants and a large number of worldwide guests every year, Chicago is a social mecca, worldwide business focus and one of the world's top financial powerhouses. Currently, there are around 120,000 registered nurses employed in Chicago. Two of the country's premier academic medical centers reside in Chicago, including Northwestern Memorial Hospital and the University of Chicago Medical Center. The Chicago campus of Northwestern University includes the Feinberg School of Medicine; Northwestern Memorial Hospital, which is ranked as the best hospital in the Chicago metropolitan area. The Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago, which is ranked the best U.S. rehabilitation hospital by U.S. News.

Why to attend:

Registered Nurse is an opportunity to meet others within specialty to network and to learn the latest clinical information. It is an opportunity no nurse should overlook. RN & NP Meeting 2018 allows nurses of all levels of experience to participate in an area of career and education growth that is not easily found within the structure of the workplace.  Some nurses, especially those working at the bedside, may not see the significance of attending a conference. All too often the floor/bedside nurse believes that conferences are only for management, while others may think that spending one or more days not earning a pay check may not outweigh the opportunity to clock in some additional overtime. There may be a whole host of other reasons why a nurse would prefer to remain home rather than attending a conference. Despite the plentiful excuses (the top two being cost and time), the benefits far outweigh the costs.

Market growth of nursing in the last and upcoming ten years:

The past three decades have witnessed a remarkable growth in nursing care development. In both Korea and the United States, nurse scientists are poised to address important issues related to the prevention and management of significant health care problems. The need for greater nursing care development in the areas of self-management, genetics, and geriatrics, health promotion across the lifespan, technology, and mental health are briefly highlighted. Future research efforts will be enhanced by interdisciplinary collaboration and the creation of international nursing research centres. At the same time, we need to remain cognizant of the importance of mentoring future nursing Care.
